A Leap of Leopards

I tried really hard to reduce my list of favourite leopard photos down to three or four, but just couldn't get less than eight.

Most of the following have been taken in Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, and the last in Karongwe Private Game Reserve.

We can also get really good sightings in Kruger but as I am always the driver/guide in those encounters I'm not usually in a position to capture great photos.

Wow! These are fantastic. No wonder you couldn't make a shorter list. The leopard is a beautiful specimen of the cat. Just beautiful.

These are fantastic! Hope you're enetering photo competitions! The leopard has evaded me every time I've been to a game park - seems I will have to have you with me next time :)

Thank you for visiting Isabel.

The more you visit the more chance you have of seeing them.

I must admit tho, that until I started working as a guide I had had only 2 very brief glimpses of leopard.

Even now, I am only lucky enough to see a leopard about 1 out of every 6-7 days in the bush.

Wow! Splendid shots all of them! But the sleeping one has to be my favourite!

Thank you Gowrie. I think that may be my favourite too.

What is it with a leopard up in a tree that makes one admire it so much? Pity we don't have much leopards around south. Not any that does this.

Great images. I can only dream of having access to that kind amazing wildlife. Especially like four and seven.
